Who reconciled us to God and through whom?

All things are of God, who reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ. Whenever Paul refers to Christ, he means His death on the cross, His shed blood, and His resurrection power. God has also given us the ministry of reconciliation.

Les explains that Paul in verse 18 says all things are of God, who reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ. When Paul refers to Christ, he means His death on the cross, His shed blood, and His resurrection power. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation. Les illustrates reconciliation by noting it only becomes necessary after separation, as with a husband and wife who have drifted apart. The same happened in the spiritual realm between man and God: God created man in His own image and had sweet fellowship with Adam and Eve in the Garden, walking with them in the cool of the day.

2 Corinthians 5:18
