How do we get into Christ?
A person enters Christ by believing the Gospel and allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work. The Spirit then places the believer into the Body of Christ, making him a new creation and a work of God. This occurs in the invisible, eternal realm that only God can touch or accomplish.
Les teaches that whether Jews or Gentiles, bond or free, all have been made to drink of the same Spirit. The way into Christ is not by human effort but by believing the Gospel, then letting the Holy Spirit do His work. The Spirit places the believer into the Body of Christ. Les explains this makes us a new creation, a work of God. The part of us dealing with eternity is invisible; no human can touch it, only God can deal in that area. In that invisible realm God has done a work of creation. Les uses the circles on the board to depict the old nature and the new nature: the old Adamic nature had to be crucified and put to death, a spiritual and invisible work only God could do, putting our old Adam to death in that crucifixion with Christ. Likewise, only God can give the new creative personality, the new nature, because it is in the invisible area. Thus we are a new work of creation that God alone can do.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
