Les Feldick Bible Study

Has God provided everything a person needs to be saved, and how do most people respond to it?

Yes. God has done everything every human being ever needed for salvation through Christ, who died substitutionally for every man by the grace of God. Yet the vast majority respond by walking it underfoot, not believing the Gospel, so they do not enjoy the results of His death.

Les teaches from Hebrews 2 that Jesus was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, was crowned with glory and honor, and by the grace of God tasted death for every man. He died the death every human being should have had, substitutionally on their behalf. Les explains that God has done everything every human being ever needed for salvation, yet the vast majority are walking it underfoot. In II Corinthians 5:15, since Christ died for all, not everybody will enjoy the results of His death because they have not believed. But those who have believed the Gospel and become spiritually alive should not live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them and rose again. Les also mentions a poll claiming 50-some percent of Americans are born again, though he hopes it is true and would expect a different nation if it were, and he hates to think of anyone going out to a lost eternity when Christ has already paid the price.
