What happens when believers come before the judgment seat of Christ?

When believers come before the bema seat, or judgment seat of Christ, they will not have to face their sin. Their sins are taken care of, forgiven, and canceled. For those who believe, they are totally forgiven, so that judgment is not about facing sin.

Les explains that when believers come before the bema seat, or the judgment seat of Christ, it isn't that they are going to have to face their sin, because their sins are taken care of. They are forgiven; they are canceled. He ties this to the earlier point that for those of us who believe, we are totally forgiven. The sin debt is paid in full, but God cannot activate that payment until a person believes the Gospel. A person goes out into a lost eternity not because their sins were not taken care of or because the atoning blood was not for them, but because they rejected it in unbelief. For the believer, the judgment seat is therefore not about facing sin, since their sins have already been forgiven and canceled.

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
