What did Christ accomplish for eternity that the Old Testament High Priest had to do every year?
Christ fulfilled the role of our High Priest by entering the very throne room of heaven. There He accomplished for eternity what the Old Testament High Priest had to do every year, namely the Day of Atonement ministry connected with the tabernacle.

He says it was appropriate to look at how Christ Himself fulfilled the role of our High Priest, entering the very throne room of heaven and accomplishing for eternity what the Old Testament High Priest had to do every year. The passage then returns to John 20, where Mary supposing Jesus to be the gardener does not recognize Him until He speaks her name. When He says “Mary,” she knows His voice, turns, and calls Him “Rabboni,” meaning Master.
