Who is the high priest who enters once a year with blood?

Christ is the high priest who enters once a year with blood, fulfilling the Day of Atonement. He presents the blood upon the mercy seat in the very presence of God, as pictured in the tabernacle. This is part of His finished work.

Les explains that just as every element of the tabernacle and its court—from the gold, silver, wood, and brass to the veil and mercy seat above the law—is a picture of Christ's finished work, so too Christ is the high priest. He became our sacrifice at the cross and our labor of cleansing. He is the bread of life, the light of the world, the sweet-smelling incense, the mercy seat, and the God of the Shekinah glory. Additionally, in Israel's history, the high priest entered once a year on the Day of Atonement to present blood upon the mercy seat in the very presence of God, and Christ fulfills this role.
