Who became God's greatest adversary after sin entered the world in Eden?

Satan became God's greatest adversary after sin entered the world in Eden. When Satan approached Adam and Eve and enticed Adam to eat, sin came on the scene, and Satan then stood as God's chief opponent. From that point, he opposed God's will, urging people to do what God forbids and to avoid what God commands.

Les explains that just as a child wants to go through a forbidden door once someone turns away, human nature rebels when God says “thou shalt not.” This pattern began in Eden: Satan approached Adam and Eve, got Adam to eat, and sin came on the scene. From then on, Satan is God's greatest adversary. Les teaches that whatever God says is best not to do, Satan says do it; whatever God says is best to do, Satan says don't do it. The world follows this opposite direction, producing heartache, and no society can survive by totally going contrary to the Ten Commandments because they are basic.
