What advice did Jethro give Moses when he saw him judging all the people alone?

Jethro advised Moses that one man could not judge all the people alone. He told Moses he would wear away, that the task was too much, and that he needed to set up a system for dealing with the people’s problems instead of letting them besiege him continually.

Les explains that Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, a Midianite, came on the scene and saw the multitude of Israelites besieging Moses with one problem after another. Jethro told Moses there was no way one man could do all this alone and that he had to set up a system of dealing with their problems. Jethro also said the thing Moses was doing was not good and that Moses would surely wear away; it was too much. Les notes he will not accuse Jethro of being pagan, but he does not believe Jethro is a believer in the God of Abraham, although he is a relative of Abraham.
