Les Feldick Bible Study

What was the exodus based on according to Les?

The exodus was based first on a person, Moses; second on the blood, the Passover lamb; and third on the word ‘hour,’ which the context ties to the power of God exercised when Israel stood trapped before the Red Sea and He opened it, letting them cross on dry ground.

Les explains that the exodus rested first upon a person—Moses—and second upon the blood, the Passover lamb. Thirdly, he says, “the word is hour.” He connects that third element to a future moment when the power of God will be exercised—not so much in the plagues that came on Egypt, but when Israel stands before the Red Sea with no way out. Then God moves, the sea opens, and they cross on dry ground. Les stresses it was not an easy crossing place but the deepest, yet they went across on dry ground.
