Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les Feldick let people copy his material for free?

The material is copyrighted only to prevent others from using it for profit, but full permission is freely given to copy it, dub tapes, or copy the books. The Word of God should not be made merchandise of or sold for profit; it is meant to reach hungry hearts.

Les explains that although the material is copyrighted, the copyright is only to protect against someone who would use it for profit. He gives full permission anytime someone wants to copy the material. He says he does not believe in making merchandise of this book, and anything he says or prints is this book, so he does not feel we can make merchandise of it. He tells the television audience that if they want to dub tapes or copy the books, they should feel free to do so, as long as they do not try to sell them for a profit. That is all he would ask. He also says it kind of irritates him that so many of God's men seemingly are profiting from the Word of God, because that is not what it has been given to us for. As Paul laid it out, it has been given so that we reach out to hungry hearts.
