What is the difference between Jesus and Jehovah in the Old Testament?

Scripture reveals no difference in identity: Jesus Christ of the New Testament is the Jehovah of the Old Testament, the God of Genesis 1, the God of Abraham. The only difference is manifestation—He manifested Himself in flesh. It is the same God, the God of glory and creation.

Les explains that when Saul of Tarsus was confronted by the light and voice on the Damascus road, he addressed the speaker as "Lord" and "Jehovah." The answer came back, "I am Jesus," which blew his mind because he thought he was serving Jehovah by stamping out the name of Jesus. Les teaches this shows that what Saul thought was his enemy was in reality the God of Abraham. Les emphasizes that Jesus Christ of the New Testament is the Jehovah of the Old Testament, the God of Genesis 1, one and the same. The only difference was that He manifested Himself in the flesh, but it is the same God—the God of glory and creation.
