Les Feldick Bible Study

What is the world focused on today according to the Bible?

The world today is focused only on the temporal—what’s in it for me, how to enjoy life to the full, how to make the most of it—rather than the eternal. The Lord said to seek first the kingdom of heaven, and the Bible does not condemn things if priorities are straight.

Les teaches that the things not seen are eternal, while the world today is only set on the temporal. It asks, “What’s in it for me?” “How can I enjoy life to the full?” “How can I make the most?” But that is not where it is at. The Lord said in His earthly ministry, “Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all these things.” Les notes there is nothing wrong with things; the Bible doesn’t condemn things, provided priorities are straight. But if a believer gets hung up on things and is more concerned about the temporal, he loses sight of the eternal and is caught in a trap. Les especially feels we are in the closing seconds of this age. He is not a date setter, but sees the world rushing into the scenario that will be on the earth for the appearance of the Antichrist, with Israel being pushed tighter by the Arab world.
