Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens if a believer gets hung up on temporal things?

When a believer becomes hung up on temporal things and more concerned with them, he loses sight of the eternal. Things themselves are not condemned if priorities are straight, but fixation on the temporal traps the believer and obscures eternal priorities, especially as this age closes.

Les explains that the unseen things are eternal, while the world is set only on the temporal—asking what's in it for me and how to enjoy life to the full. He notes that the Bible does not condemn things, provided priorities are straight. But if a believer gets hung up on things and becomes more concerned about the temporal, he loses sight of the eternal. Les warns, "Don't be caught in that trap," especially as he feels we are in the closing seconds of this age.
