When was 2 Corinthians written in relation to Paul leaving Ephesus?

2 Corinthians was written sometime after Paul was forced out of Ephesus due to the tremendous hatred for the gospel from the pagan followers of Diana, whose statue oversaw the whole city. So it came after his departure from Ephesus, not before.

Les explains that the second letter, 2 Corinthians, was written sometime after Paul had been forced out of Ephesus because of the tremendous hatred for the gospel from the pagan followers of Diana, whose statue oversaw the whole city of Ephesus. After leaving Ephesus, Paul went north into the northwest corner of what is now Turkey to the ancient city of Troas, which was the city of Troy. There he evidently began a little congregation. The transcript notes some initial confusion about whether he was to meet Titus or Timothy, but it settles on Titus in chapter 2, verse 13. This background shows why Paul was under such constant satanic attack.
