Why did Les Feldick set up a tax deductible organization?
The tax deductible organization was set up so that donors could receive a tax deduction for gifts to the ministry, giving God's people that kind of break from their taxes. It was done because the ministry stays on the air only through gifts, and the teacher refuses to ask for or beg for money.
Les explains that he refuses to ask for money and absolutely refuses to beg for money, saying he would go off the air before doing so. Yet the ministry can stay on the air only because of the gifts of God's people. That is why a tax deductible organization was set up: so donors can receive their tax deduction, and that is the only reason it was done—so God's people can at least get that kind of break from their taxes. Any gift sent to the ministry is tax deductible, and television time is expensive.
