What was the Old Testament based on?

The Old Testament's foundation was the prophetic Word—everything rested on what God declared He would do, expressed in promises like 'I will.' It was founded on the Abrahamic covenant, and Christ came in fulfillment of that covenant as Israel's Messiah and King.

Les explains that the Old Testament was based on the prophetic Word. Everything was based on what God said—'I will, I will, I will'—and that prophecy rested on the Abrahamic covenant. Christ came in fulfillment of that covenant, coming to Israel as their Messiah and King. Israel rejected Him, not believing He was who He said He was. God then turned to the rest of the world by putting Israel into dispersion, not using the Jew except the Apostle Paul, a Jew and Pharisee of the tribe of Benjamin. To Paul were revealed these mysteries and secrets for the Gentile world. The timeline begins with Adam, then the call of Abraham in 2000 B.C., bringing about the nation of Israel, pulled off the main river of humanity.
