Will Christians who are alive at the coming of the Lord go ahead of those who have already died?

No. Believers who are alive and remain at the coming of the Lord will not precede or go ahead of those who have died. The dead in Christ shall rise first; the living will be changed, but they do not go ahead of the departed believers.

Les explains from I Thessalonians chapter 4 that those who are alive and remain at the coming of the Lord shall not precede or go ahead of them who are asleep, or who have died. The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Those believers are resurrected and brought out of the tomb, then reunited with their soul and spirit, which God has brought from His presence into the atmosphere. The living believers will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, but they do not go ahead of the departed believers.

1 Thessalonians 4:15

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
