How can we see what Scripture talks about regarding sin?

Les explains that sinless living is not possible because although the new nature is divine and cannot sin, old Adam is in us and constantly works to make us sin, and he succeeds too often. If we keep old Adam in subjection and feed the new, divine nature, then we can understand what Scripture says about sin. Les stresses that believers are not supposed to sin, and grace is not licensed; where sin abounds, grace is greater, but grace is no license for the believer. Paul is talking about turning from the instincts of old Adam, putting him down, and keeping him under control that we sin not. Les notes Paul still has the Corinthian church in mind, where some lacked the knowledge of God and were carnal believers lacking knowledge and wisdom.
