Where do the gathered nations come from and what city do they surround?
The deceived nations, called Gog and Magog, come from every nation on earth and from the breadth of the earth. They gather to battle against Christ and His throne, surrounding the beloved city, Jerusalem, where the camp of the saints is located.
Les explains that after the thousand years expire, Satan is loosed from his prison and returns to his old domain, planet earth, where Christ has been ruling for a thousand years. Satan goes out to deceive the nations, Gog and Magog, gathering them to battle—another Armageddon, so to speak. These nations come from every nation on earth and go up on the breadth of the earth. They come past the camp of the saints about the beloved city, which is Jerusalem, surrounding Christ and His throne near Jerusalem. Their number is as the sand of the sea. God then sends fire down from heaven and devours them.
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
