What does it mean that the Son is the express image of God's person in Hebrews 1:3?

Hebrews 1:3 means the Son is the brightness of the glory of the Godhead and the visible, tangible, express image of His person. He represents the Godhead, making the invisible God known, while upholding all things by the word of His power, controlling the universe.

Les explains that Hebrews 1:3 presents God the Son as the brightness of the glory of the Godhead and the express, visible, tangible image of His person—the Godhead. He is the one representing the Godhead. The verse also says He upholds all things by the word of His power. Les illustrates this with the vast universe: billions of celestial bodies never crash into one another or drop out of orbit because Christ has them all under control. He connects this to God's awareness of every individual, since He knows every single celestial body.
