Why are tribulation believers grouped with Old Testament believers?

Tribulation believers are grouped with Old Testament believers because the tribulation is the time of God dealing with Israel, with the temple operating, and it is primarily a Jewish period. They are not members of the body of Christ and cannot be included in it, so they belong with the Old Testament saints in resurrection.

Les explains that after the church is raptured and that company of believers is in the Lord’s presence in a resurrected state, the horrors of the seven-year tribulation follow. During it, multitudes—Jew and Gentile—will believe and be martyred. They are not members of the body of Christ; they did not miss the rapture, but they simply will not be included in the body and cannot be. Because the tribulation is the time of God dealing with Israel, the temple is operating, and it is primarily a Jewish period, Les places the whole lot of tribulation believers with the Old Testament believers in that particular time of resurrection of this group of just people. Daniel and his fellow Old Testament believers stand in their lot at the end of the days, including the extra 75 days beyond the tribulation.
