Who was the first to be resurrected according to the Bible?

Christ was the first to be resurrected, identified in 1 Corinthians 15:23 as the firstfruits. After His resurrection, others came out of the graves in Matthew 27. The scriptural order is Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

Les explains from the resurrection chapter, 1 Corinthians 15, that Christ is the firstfruits and was the first to be resurrected. He also points to Matthew 27, where those who came out of the graves did so after His resurrection. Les then lays out the order: church-age believers, the body of Christ, will be separated from the rest, and there remains the resurrection of the Old Testament believers. Verse 23 says every believer is raised in his own order or company: Christ the firstfruits, afterward they that are Christ’s at His coming.
