What does the Bible say the Law was in terms of its administration?
Scripture says the Law was an administration of death. It was the oldness of the letter, from which believers are delivered. They now serve in newness of spirit, not in the oldness of the letter, because they believe the Gospel.
Les teaches that the Law was an administration of death, and believers are delivered from that Law, which was dead wherein they were held. Instead of serving in the oldness of the letter, they now serve in newness of spirit. This is the whole transformation of life in the spiritual realm. Les explains that this newness comes by believing the Gospel. He also connects this to Galatians 3:3, warning against trying to move into a deeper spiritual life by the flesh, since the flesh wants legalism and Law, part of the old Adamic nature's desire to be under some kind of Law.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
