What prepared Paul to take the message of grace to the Gentile world?
Paul was prepared by the Lord's direct revelatory training in Arabia, at Mount Sinai, for about three years, not by conferring with the twelve apostles in Jerusalem. From that desert experience and unfolding mysteries, he was ready to carry the message of grace to the Gentile world.
Les explains that Paul did not go back to Jerusalem or confer with the twelve apostles who were before him. Instead, the Lord took him into Arabia, and Arabia is where Mount Sinai was. He was there about three years, and from that three years of experience at Mount Sinai in the desert, he was ready to take the message of grace to the Gentile world. By the time he later went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, he had these revelations, and the mysteries were beginning to unfold. He did not go to learn everything Peter knew, but to share with Peter some of these new revelations. Peter never did get them all.
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.
