Why did Israel crucify and slay Christ according to God's plan?
Israel's crucifixion and slaying of Christ occurred because it was part of God's determinate, predeterminate counsel and eternal plan of the ages. God was not caught by surprise; His blueprint required that Christ must suffer and die, with the cross as the plan's highlight.
Les teaches that in the determinate plan God laid out before anything was created, the highlight of it all was the cross. In God's predeterminate counsel of understanding and planning, Israel took and crucified and slain Christ. God was not caught by surprise. It was all in that eternal plan of the ages that Christ must suffer. All the way through the Scriptures, this was in God's blueprint for the ages. The same predetermined plan of the ages also included that Christ would suffer and die, but He would also be risen from the dead. Les notes he wanted folk to see and understand this, though he sometimes holds back from repeating things because many have bought the tapes and books, while about 95% of the audience never write or order and so do not get repetition. He then returns to 1 Corinthians 15:20.
