Why does the world miss God's plan of salvation?
People miss it because they cannot believe that eternal salvation and the hope of all glory come by doing nothing. The door is at ground level, simple and in front of every person: believe and enter in, though the way is narrow. God demands this, as Romans teaches through Abraham, who did nothing yet was justified.
Les teaches that the door to the sheepfold is not placed on a sheer cliff requiring ropes and climbing gear, nor across a roaring river needing a boat or raft, nor across an ocean requiring a millionaire's ticket. The plan of salvation is at ground level, in front of every human being; all anyone must do is believe it and enter in. It is narrow, but the way in is simple. The world misses it because they cannot believe eternal salvation and the hope of all glory can be had by doing nothing. Yet that is what God demands, as Romans shows: Abraham did nothing, and yet he was justified in the same way as us. Paul then moves into the resurrection chapter, proving Christ rose and was seen by Cephas/Peter, the twelve, and over 500 brethren, most still alive.
