What does Paul's Gospel prepare believers for?

Paul's Gospel prepares believers for an eternity of glory—unlimited billions of years rather than this world's brief seventy-year span. It saves them and grounds them in the truth of Christ's death for sins, so they know what they believe and are ready for that eternal future.

Les teaches that Paul's Gospel prepares believers for the glory awaiting them—an eternity measured in unlimited billions of years, not the brief seventy years of this present life. He notes that the world thinks believers are kooks for shunning its pleasures for a few years, but they cannot comprehend the coming glory, where believers will travel from one end of the universe to the other in a split second. This Gospel is that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, not an accident but planned in God's foreknowledge. Paul says believers are saved by this Gospel, yet they must know what they believe and remember what was preached, unless they believed in vain. John 3:16 lacks this part and must be used with it.

1 Corinthians 15:2

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
