What was Peter preaching about Jesus in the house of Cornelius?

Peter was expounding about Jesus of Nazareth and how He had come to be Israel's Messiah, Redeemer, and King. While preaching to Cornelius, Peter proclaimed Jesus as the fulfillment of Israel's messianic hope, and God was moving to extend His purposes to the Gentile world.

Les explains that in Acts chapter 10, Peter is now in the house of a Gentile, the Roman Cornelius. Contrary to his own desires, God forced him to go up to Cornelius's house. Peter had said it was an unlawful thing for a Jew to come into the house of another nation, but God had shown him there was a distinct divine purpose in his coming. As Peter preaches, he is probably expounding about Jesus of Nazareth and how He had come to be Israel's Messiah and Redeemer and King. Peter wonders why he is giving this to Gentiles, not realizing that something was moving in God's purposes—He was now going to go out to the Gentile world.
