Were the Old Testament writers real people who actually lived?

Yes, the Old Testament writers were real historical individuals. Historical and archaeological evidence confirms they lived as flesh-and-blood people, and excerpts of their writings survive on clay tablets and cuneiform, dated 1,000 to 2,000 years before Christ. They were not mythical or legendary figures.

Les teaches that the unbelieving world ridicules the Book, but history and archaeology show that these Old Testament writers lived. They were real, flesh and blood. Excerpts of their writings have been found, whether in cuneiform on clay tablets or whatever, and those things were written 1,000, 1,500, 2,000 years before Christ came. For example, David wrote in the Psalms a perfect picture of the crucifixion and wrote around 1,000 B.C. concerning the resurrection, though in veiled language that the apostle Paul later brought out into the open. This confirms the Gospel came according to the Scriptures.
