Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les try to stay on neutral ground when teaching?

The teacher stays on neutral ground to reach people from every denominational background. Holding classes in one denomination alienates others—Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Catholics—so neutral teaching avoids that barrier. The material is not denominational but for everybody, since heaven is not divided by denomination and saved believers are members of the Body of Christ.

Les explains that in his teaching environment he has always tried to stay on neutral ground. He notes that if he tries to have a class in, say, a Baptist church, then the Methodists, Lutherans, and Catholics are not going to come; if he has it in a Lutheran church, then the Baptists do not come. So he likes to stay on neutral ground if at all possible, so that he can reach people from every denominational background. He adds that this book is not a denominational book but is for everybody, and that heaven is not going to be divided by denomination. All members of the Body of Christ, if saved, will be in the same place regardless of their denominational handle.
