Does the command to give no offense still apply to us today?

Yes. The admonition to give no offense, whether to Jew, Gentile, or the house of God, still fits today just as well as it did in Paul's day. Anything that causes a weaker believer to stumble should be set aside, and all things are done for the glory of God.

Les explains that this principle carries into every aspect of life, not just meat offered to idols. Anything that causes a weaker believer to stumble should be set aside. He notes that we run across such things constantly. The crux is verse 31: whether you eat, drink, or whatsoever you do, you do it all for the glory of God. That is the only reason believers are left here—to bring glory to His Name, even in the ordinary, mundane, everyday experiences. Verse 32 adds the admonition to give no offense to the Jew, the Gentile, or the house of God, and Les says it fits just as well today as it did back in Corinth in Paul's day. That verse divided Corinth's population into three categories, not just saved and lost, because the Jew was still a factor when Paul wrote the Corinthians.
