Why can we come boldly to the throne of grace for help in time of need?
Because He was tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin. Since He is sinless and perfect, having tasted every situation we face, we can come boldly to God's throne of grace at any time to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Les teaches that because He was in all points tempted and tested like we are, but where we fall and fail, He did not; He was without sin. Since He was sinless and perfect, yet tasted every situation we come up against, the invitation is to come boldly into God's presence. We do not have to shrink back. We can enter the very throne room at any time of the day or night, boldly, into the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. The door is always open. Les illustrates with executives, presidents, or football coaches having an open door policy, but God instituted it; the Lord has an open door policy, and we can come into the throne room any time.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
