What did the people do to Moses in Exodus 17:2?
According to Exodus 17:2, the people in the wilderness chided with Moses, irritating him and almost screaming at him. They demanded, "Give us water that we may drink." Moses asked why they chided with him and tempted the Lord with their complaining.
Les teaches that millions of Israelites were out in the desert with no water, and they became thirsty. Their livestock were bawling and bleeding for a drink. So they came roaring up to Moses. Exodus 17:2 says the people chided with Moses; they were irritating him and almost screaming at him, demanding, "Give us water that we may drink." Moses replied, "Why chide ye with me? Wherefore do you tempt the Lord with all your complaining?" But that didn't help. In verse 3 they were still thirsty.
Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
