What was Israel's condition during the plagues in Egypt?

During the plagues in Egypt, Israel was submerged in suffering and the horrors of slavery under Egyptian slave masters. Pharaoh finally told Moses never to come back and see him. Moses said Pharaoh had spoken well and did not know how close to the truth he was. God then gave Israel Passover instructions.

Les teaches through the account that during the plagues in Egypt, Israel was submerged in the suffering and horrors of slavery under Egyptian slave masters. Finally Pharaoh told Moses never to come back and see him. Moses answered, “You’ve spoken well. You don’t know how close to the truth you are.” Then Exodus chapter 12 opens with God giving Moses and the nation of Israel the instructions for the Passover lamb: a male without blemish, from the sheep or goats, kept up until the fourteenth day, so that all Israel would have a Passover lamb at their disposal.
