What good does controlled fire do for mankind?
Controlled fire is one of the greatest things God has given mankind. It warms the home, and a glowing fireplace or wood heater on a cold winter day is a blessing. It is also essential in steel mills, where no steel would be produced without it, and it is an absolute necessity in much of everyday life.
Les teaches that fire under control is one of the greatest things God has given mankind. He explains that it warms our home, and there is nothing nicer than a good glowing fireplace or a wood heater on a cold, blustery winter day; in that fireplace or heater, the fire is gorgeous. He also notes that into a steel mill, no steel would ever be produced without fire. In so much of everyday life, fire under control is an absolute necessity and a blessing of God. By contrast, Les says, turn fire loose in a wildfire situation and you get devastation, tragedy, and destruction.
