When did Jesus wash the disciples' feet?
He washed the disciples' feet shortly before His crucifixion, at the end of His three years, when He poured water into a basin and began to wash their feet and wipe them with a towel, as John 13:5 records. This was just before His crucifixion and the betrayal by Judas.
Les explains that this foot washing is recorded in John 13:5 and occurred just shortly before the crucifixion, at the end of Jesus' three years. Jesus poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, wiping them with the towel with which He was girded. When He came to Simon Peter, Peter asked, 'Lord, dost thou wash my feet?' Jesus answered that what He was doing Peter did not know now but would understand later. Peter then said, 'Lord, then not my feet only, but also my hands and my feet,' in effect asking for a bath. Jesus replied that he who is washed needeth not another washing except to wash his feet, but is clean every whit; yet not all were clean, referring to Judas, the twelfth man, who would betray Him.
After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
