Does a person's vile background prevent them from being washed and justified today?

No. A person’s vile background does not prevent them from being washed and justified today. The same truth applies now as then: it does not matter how vile the background. When a person has been justified, they are washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Les explains that after describing utterable wickedness and immorality, the declaration is still “you’re washed,” “you are sanctified,” and “you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus.” He then applies this to people today: it is the same way, and it does not matter how vile the background. When we have been justified, we are washed. So a vile past is no barrier to being washed and justified today.
