Who will believers rule over in the future kingdom?

Scripture teaches that believers will rule over angels in the future earthly kingdom. They will be positioned above the hosts of angels, ruling and reigning with Christ. The word 'judge' in this context means government or ruling, indicating that angels will be beneath believers in that coming kingdom.

Les explains that the word 'judge' in verse 3 goes back to government and ruling. He asks, 'Don't you know that you're going to rule over what?' and answers, 'Angels!' He emphasizes that angels are even going to be beneath believers. He describes this as a position waiting for someday, where believers will rule and reign with Christ and be above the hosts of the angels as they rule and reign with Him on that earthly kingdom. He then contrasts this future with the present life, saying if believers have that kind of future, how much more do things pertaining to this life matter? He also declares, 'Hey, believers, we're somebody. When God is in it, absolutely.'
