Who ends up rubbing shoulders with immoral people every day?
Christians, especially those working in large office complexes or production facilities, end up rubbing elbows with immoral people, fornicators, the covetous, extortioners, and idolaters every day. Avoiding all such contact would require leaving this world entirely, since the human race does not change.
Les explains that Paul wrote to the Corinthians not to fellowship with fornicators or immoral people, but not to avoid the immoral of this world altogether, because then believers would have to go out of the world. Les points out that if you went a whole week without rubbing elbows with someone immoral or in gross sin, you'd have to leave this world. He notes that even in Oklahoma's Bible Belt, people are no different. Those who work in large office complexes or production facilities rub elbows with a cross section of society and thus with every one of these classes of people.
