Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens when you are saved according to Les?

When a person is saved through the gospel, two things happen: they are saved from hellfire, and they are declared righteous by an imputation of God Himself. Salvation is not only deliverance from judgment but also the believer's righteous standing before God.

Les teaches that the gospel by which a person is saved is the gospel Paul defines in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 1. Paul writes that the Corinthians received this gospel and stand in it, and by it they are saved. Les likes to replace the word 'saved' with 'made righteous,' stressing that salvation includes two things: being saved from hellfire and being declared righteous by an imputation of God Himself.

1 Corinthians 15:2

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
