How did the twelve apostles die — did any of them die a natural death?

All twelve apostles except possibly John died a martyr's death; John may have died a natural death while exiled on the Isle of Patmos. Every other apostle suffered a horrible martyr's death. The apostle Paul was likewise beheaded at Nero's behest.

Les teaches that all twelve apostles, except maybe John, died a martyr's death. John may have died a natural death while in exile on the Isle of Patmos, but all the others died a martyr's death—every one of them, a horrible death. The apostle Paul was the same way, beheaded at the behest of Nero. Les then directs attention to II Corinthians 11, noting that Paul's sufferings were Holy Spirit inspired and for the purpose of getting the gospel to the Gentile world, having evidently left behind any wealth he had as a Jew and Pharisee.
