Which church did Apollos come to?

Apollos came to the church at Ephesus, located just across the G&C from Corinth. He was an eloquent man, mighty in the Scriptures, who had been instructed in the way of the Lord and knew only the baptism of John. He taught diligently the things of the Lord.

Les explains that Apollos, an eloquent man mighty in the Scriptures, came from Alexandria and likely was well educated among those who translated the Hebrew Old Testament into Greek. Les teaches that this gifted man came to the church at Ephesus, just across the G&C from Corinth. Apollos was instructed in the way of the Lord, fervent in the Spirit, and taught diligently the things of the Lord, but he knew only the baptism of John. Les points out that the early church had only the Old Testament Scriptures, as none of the New Testament was yet written or circulated.
