How does the world recognize believers if they look so normal outwardly?
Believers are recognized not by outward oddity or a halo but by their distinct lifestyle and mindset. They think differently, having the mind of the Lord, and live as ordinary good parents, citizens, and church members according to God’s precepts. The world can recognize them everywhere, sooner or later.
Les explains that becoming a believer does not make someone an oddball in left field with a silly halo, wings, or anything like that. The true believer is the common, ordinary, good parent, good citizen, good church member—a person operating according to God’s precepts. That does not mean being kooky. Outwardly, believers are the epitome of normality. Yet their lifestyle is such that the world can recognize them everywhere they go, at least sooner or later. He contrasts this with the world’s intellectuals and philosophers, who almost zero know the mind of God, while believers have the mind of the Lord and think differently; their whole attitude and mindset is totally different from the unsaved world.
