How many of the world's intellectuals and philosophers actually know the mind of God?
Almost none of the world's intellectuals, philosophers, and authors know the mind of God. The answer is effectively zero. By contrast, believers have the mind of the Lord and think differently from the unsaved world, operating according to God's precepts rather than human wisdom.
Les explains that when you consider the world's great intellectuals, philosophers, authors, and all the rest, almost zero of them know the mind of God. He then flips the picture to believers, saying we have the mind of the Lord. Our attitude and mindset are totally different from the unsaved world. Les tells his classes and his own kids that becoming a believer does not make you an oddball with a halo or wings. The true believer is a common, ordinary, good parent, good citizen, and good church member, operating according to God's precepts. That doesn't mean you're kooky; believers are the epitome of normality outwardly, yet their lifestyle is recognizable to the world sooner or later.
