Is the Apostle Paul still honored in Athens today, more than the Greek philosophers?

Yes. At Mars Hill in Athens, a large bronze plaque is dedicated to the Apostle Paul, called a babbler, rather than to Aristotle, Plato, or Homer. Tourists visiting Athens are constantly reminded of this man, not the philosophers of the Greeks.

Les explains that when he was in Athens with Merlin, Titibal, and Nyrus and went up to Mars Hill, the first thing that struck him was that there is no big bronze plaque saying what Aristotle said, what Plato wrote, or where Homer held forth. Instead, the big bronze plaque is dedicated to the Apostle Paul, the babbler. Les finds this amazing: Paul is still held in high esteem, and tourists coming to Athens are constantly reminded of this man, not the philosophers of the Greeks.
