Whose words did Paul speak when he taught — man's wisdom or the Holy Spirit's?

Paul spoke not in words that man's wisdom teaches but in words that the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. This contrasts human wisdom with God's wisdom, as I Corinthians 2:13 states directly. The teaching is therefore Spirit-taught, not man-taught.

Les explains that the whole theme of I Corinthians 2 is comparing the wisdom of men against the things that are of the wisdom of God. In verse 13, Paul declares that he and his companions spoke not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. Les further notes that this book is closed to the unbeliever, who cannot comprehend it, while even the most infantile believer finds it understandable and grows in understanding through Christian experience. The context also reminds us that man in his natural state is spiritually dead by virtue of Adam's original sin.

1 Corinthians 2:13

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
