Why doesn't God use people who have all the right credentials?

God refuses to use people who appear to have every credential so that no human being can boast or take credit for success. If they had all the talent, IQ, and wealth, they would be prone to say, “Look what I did,” robbing God of glory.

Les teaches that God will not use people with seemingly all the right credentials, because when they are successful they would be prone to brag, “Look what I did.” The principle is that no flesh will glory or brag in God’s sight; God won’t have it. He illustrates this with a man in Israel after the Six-Day War who insisted, “God didn’t have a thing to do with it. We did it,” which Les calls typical. He also points to Moses, asking why God did not use him when he was the second man in Egypt.

1 Corinthians 1:29

That no flesh should glory in his presence.
