What happened to Paul's status in Judaism by the time God sent him to the Gentiles?

By the time God sent him to the Gentiles, three years after his conversion, Paul had become a nobody in Judaism. He was no longer high up, no longer held in high esteem by the Jews as Gamaliel's student, and had been brought down to nothing.

Les teaches that although Paul had accomplished a lot in Judaism, by the time God was ready to send him out to the Gentiles three years after his conversion, he had become a nobody. He was no longer high up in Judaism or held in high esteem by the Jews as the student of Gamaliel. Saul, as he was by then, was brought down to nothing. Les also notes Paul's own account in 2 Corinthians 12, where he describes his speech as contemptible, unlike Apollos, and evidently not physically impressive.
