What is the tribulation according to Revelation 12?
According to Revelation 12, the tribulation is the final seven years, whose midpoint features a great war in heaven: Satan and his angels fight Michael and the other angels, are defeated, and cast out. This leaves three and a half years until Christ returns to set up the kingdom of our God.
Les explains that Revelation chapter 12 is a portion of Scripture that is hard for many people to swallow, but it is the Word of God and should not be compromised. He teaches that at the midpoint of the tribulation—that final seven years—there will be a great war in heaven. Satan and his angels fight against Michael and the other angels, and finally Satan and his angels are defeated and cast out. Then verse 10 announces that salvation, strength, and the kingdom of our God have come, with only three and a half years left until Christ returns to set up His kingdom, the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ. The accuser of the brethren is cast down, the one who accused them before God day and night. Les also notes that the old devil accuses every time a believer sins, and asks what comfort believers come back to.
