What is the devil doing to believers according to Revelation 12:10?

Revelation 12:10 calls the devil the accuser of the brethren, who accuses believers before God day and night. He accuses every time a believer sins. The comfort is that Jesus Christ the righteous One is our advocate with the Father, as 1 John 2 declares.

Les teaches that Revelation 12 describes a future midpoint of the tribulation, the final seven years, when a great war occurs in heaven. Satan and his angels fight against Michael and the other angels, are defeated, and cast out. Then Revelation 12:10 announces salvation, strength, and the kingdom of our God, with only three and a half years left before Christ returns to set up His kingdom. The verse says the accuser of the brethren is cast down, who accused them before God day and night. Les explains the old devil is accusing every time a believer sins. But the comfort is 1 John 2: if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One. That is not a license to sin, but it is the believer's comfort when Satan accuses.

Revelation 12:10

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
